Joana Santos

Joana Santos (b.1985) is a Portuguese actress and model.

She first appeared on television in the TVI serie “Fala-me de Amor” in 2006 as Ana Luisa Parreira, a raped young lady. In 2007 Joana continued on TVI, this time in the production of “Ilha dos Amores” in the role of Anabela Santos.

In 2008 she moved to SIC Television being part of the cast of the youth series “Rebelde Way”, an Argentine adaptation held by SIC. In 2009, Joana moved to RTP Television provisionally, where she joined the cast of the comedy series “Um Lugar para Viver”, in the role of Marie Pereira. In the same year she made a special appearance in the series “Cidade Despida” also on RTP.

In following year (2010), Joana Santos receives her greatest role: Diana Silva, one of the greatest villains of all time, in the TV series “Laços de Sangue”. She was considered in that year, a talent development . In that year she got a nomination for the “Breakthrough Award” at the Golden Globes, the largest Portuguese awards ceremony.

In 2011, Joana Santos starts her work in movies, as the protagonist of the film “O Que Há De Novo No Amor?”. After signing an exclusive contract with the SIC Television, she is the cover of GQ magazine.

Joana Santos is also protagonist of the TV remake “Dancin’ Days” and made her debut in theater with “No Campo” by Martin Crimp.
